Office Shenanigans: Resumes for Puppies

Ever since I started working at Digitas Health, I’ve joked about how we need an office puppy. We can’t have an office puppy — our building lease won’t allow it — but that hasn’t stopped my campaigning.

“The Year of the Office Puppy” posters still grace all Digitas Health HR office walls

Last year, a co-worker pulled off the impossible, and got us an office puppy…for a day. Human Resources partnered with Street Tails, a local animal shelter, to bring in an adoptable puppy to play with us for the day. His name was Mesquite, and he was the cutest little pupper a fella could hope for.

To celebrate the fulfillment of my most vocal office wish, I created a resume for Mesquite inspired by Stephen Colbert’s Rescue Dog Rescue segments. That resume remains some of the best writing I’ve ever produced.

Unsurprisingly, Mesquite got adopted. Look at the little guy! How could he not!
